Andrew Hartshorn Unashamedly wearing its influences on it’s sleeve this mini album combines elements of early OMD and Kraftwerk, but with a modern production.

Tim’s almost spoken vocals perfectly suit the mood. Hard choice for favourite track but for me SOAP just shades it thanks to the Vocoder. Great job. Favorite track: S.O.A.P..

"Meet me down in Sunlight!" Tim Blackburn, the UK singer-songwriter and remixer who records as Mistrust, is back with a new mini album called “Sunlight”. It's available as a digital download and limited edition compact disc. It marks his first CD since the release of his single “Yellow and Grey” earlier this year. The album features six songs, all previously unreleased (one of the songs “Yellow and Grey” was previously released as a single, but this is the longer version of the song).

This is probably the first ever album inspired by and written about Port Sunlight Village, in Wirral, UK!!!

The title track” Sunlight” kicks off with the sound of a church choir, giving way to a power synth build up and steady electronic beat. There’s one of Mistrust’s catchy hooks, that is sure to get you singing along. This is followed by “Life” which is a melancholic song, with a heavy electronic pulse type beat, and stirring synth solo. Other stand out tracks on the album are “Yellow and Grey” (a real crowd pleaser at Mistrust’s recent live performances), and S.O.A.P, with spoken vocals and another catchy hook!

“Sunlight” recalls Mistrust's recent journey to Port Sunlight (the historic workers’ village in Wirral, UK), and his impressions of how the village came to be, and how it fits into the modern world. It’s a concept album and includes themes such as life (and death!) and growing old. There’s also modern take on the original call for people to come to live and work in Port Sunlight.
