This is the limited edition of my "Yellow and Grey EP " on CD with a "Blue and Grey" cardboard wallet and disc label. I have released it to celebrate the rebranding of the first Merseyrail Class 507 number 507 001 electric train to its 1980s "blue and grey" livery. The train is due to be withdrawn in 2024 after 40 years in service!

"Yellow and Grey" recalls Mistrust's recent train journey to Port Sunlight (the historic workers' village in Wirral, UK), on the ageing yellow and grey trains that pass through the village. These trains are being replaced by shiny new modern trains which are also yellow and grey! Hence the line "Yellow and Grey is here to stay!" The song's overall themes are nostalgia and new beginnings!

"Yellow and Grey" includes a line from the poem "From a Railway Carriage" by Robert Louis Stevenson (can you spot it?), and there's also a nod to the classic Kraftwerk song "Trans Europe Express" with Mistrust recording a German language version of Yellow and Grey ("gelb und grau") which is released alongside the original song.

Both songs are taken from Mistrust's debut album "Sunlight".
